Launch token

Documentation

GelatoHype.

Fair launches on HyperEVM. Every token opens in its own Project X or HyperSwap pool, with the full supply inside and the liquidity locked for good. You sign every transaction yourself, and nobody else ever holds your funds.

Overview

Fair by design, not by promise

No presale, no team allocation, no bonding curve to graduate from. A launch mints a fixed supply and puts all of it into one pool position on the DEX the creator picks. From the first block, everyone trades against the same pool on the same price curve, the creator included.

Supply

1,000,000,000 tokens, all minted into the pool

Liquidity

Locked for good, with no way to withdraw it

Trading fee

1% or 2% per trade, set by the pool's fee tier

Token

Plain ERC-20: no owner, no minting, no transfer tax

Launching a token

Two steps, about one minute

Creating a pool on Project X or HyperSwap takes about 4.6M gas, more than a regular HyperEVM block allows. So a launch happens in two steps: you send a request in a fast small block, and a keeper runs it in the next big block.

  1. 1

    Fill in the form

Add an image, name and ticker, then pick the DEX and the pair. A one-liner, links and a first buy are optional.

  2. 2

    Send the request

You pay the 0.03 HYPE launch fee plus any first buy, which the launchpad holds until launch. The request locks in every choice by hash, along with the current terms: supply, starting market cap and fee split.

  3. 3

    The keeper runs it

In one big-block transaction, the token is created, the pool opens at the start price, the full supply goes in and is locked, and your first buy is filled. The keeper can only carry out exactly what you requested.

  4. 4

    Start trading

The token page goes live with its chart, trades and holders. Anyone can buy or sell right away.

Cancel the request from its status page and get a full refund of the launch fee and the first buy.

Pricing and first buy

Everyone starts at the same price

Every pool opens at a starting market cap of about $5,000: exactly 5,000 USDC for USDC pools, and the equivalent in HYPE for HYPE pools, which the platform updates as the HYPE price moves. The start price is that market cap divided by the supply.

The position is single-sided: it holds only your token, from the start price up. Buys push the price up the pool's curve, which behaves like a constant-product pool with the starting market cap as a virtual reserve. Sells bring it back down, but never below the start price.

First buy

Optional, filled in the launch transaction before anyone else can trade

Same terms

Pays the same pool price and fee as every buy after it

Slippage guard

The launch reverts if you would get over 5% fewer tokens than shown

Leftovers

Any part of the first buy the pool does not use can be claimed back

DEXs and pairs

Your token, on DEXs people already use

GelatoHype does not run its own exchange. Pools live on established HyperEVM DEXs, so wallets, aggregators and charting sites treat your token like any other. The GelatoHype trade panel swaps through each DEX's own router.

DEXPool typeFee tiers
Project XConcentrated liquidity (V3)1%, 2%
HyperSwap V3Concentrated liquidity (V3)1%
PairHow you payStart market cap
HYPENative HYPE (wrapped to WHYPE in the pool)≈ $5,000 in HYPE

The launch fee is always paid in HYPE, whichever pair you pick.

Fees

Trading fees, shared with the creator

The pool charges its fee tier on every buy and sell. The fees accrue to the locked position, and the launchpad splits them between the token's fee recipient and the platform treasury.

Creator

70% of pool fees, fixed for the life of the token

Platform

30% of pool fees

Paid in

HYPE or USDC on buys, the token itself on sells

Launch fee

0.03 HYPE per launch, paid to the treasury

These are the current settings. Each launch stores the creator share in force when it was requested. The platform can lower it for future launches, never below 50%, but cannot change it for an existing token.

DEX protocol fee

A DEX can turn on its own protocol fee, which takes a cut of pool fees before they reach the position. The token page reads it live from the pool and shows the exact split in the Fees card.

Claiming fees

Claim on the token page

Fees build up in the pool until they are harvested into claimable balances. Anyone can harvest, and the keeper does it regularly. On the token page, the fee recipient sees what is unclaimed and already claimed, and one click on Claim fees harvests and pays out in one go.

  • The fee recipient is the creator by default, or another address chosen at launch.
  • Only the current fee recipient can claim, and only from their own balance.
  • HYPE fees arrive as native HYPE. USDC and token fees arrive as tokens.
  • The recipient can send future fees to a new address. Fees already harvested stay with whoever earned them, so harvest first to keep what is still in the pool.
  • Balances are kept per asset, so one claim pays out the HYPE or USDC earned across all your tokens.

Locked liquidity

No withdraw button, anywhere

Each DEX has a GelatoHype venue contract that opens the pool and mints the launch position directly into it. No position NFT exists, so there is nothing to transfer or sell. The only thing the venue does with a position is collect its fees, using a zero-size burn. No code path removes liquidity, not for the creator, the platform or anyone else.

Position

Single-sided, from the start price to the top of the range

Held by

The venue contract, which cannot transfer it

Withdrawal

Impossible: locked by design, not by a timelock

Fees

Collected without touching the liquidity

Anti-sniping

Nobody can set your price first

A common attack on launchpads is to create the pool ahead of time at a bad price. That does not work here: the token address is derived from the hash of the block before the launch, so nobody can know it in advance.

Within the launch block itself, the launchpad tries eight candidate addresses and takes the first one with no pool. Front-running all eight would mean creating eight pools, which does not fit in a single big block.

What the platform controls

Settings for future launches, not your token

The launchpad and venues are owned by a Safe multisig with at least two signers, so no single key can change anything. Every setting the owner can change applies only to launches requested afterwards.

The owner canThe owner cannot
Open or pause new launchesPause trading, or touch a pool
Change the launch fee and supplyMint, freeze or change any token
Set the creator share (50% minimum)Change the fee split of an existing token
Set the starting market cap per pairMove liquidity or anyone's claimable fees
Enable DEX venues and fee tiersAlter a request, or run it differently than signed

Admins can also mark tokens as Official, which pins them to the top of the board. That is a display choice only, not an endorsement or a guarantee.

Risks

Read this before you trade

  • Prices are volatile. New tokens are speculative and can lose most of their value quickly. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
  • Anyone can launch. A name, image or ticker says nothing about who is behind a token. Always check the contract address, not just the name.
  • Smart contract risk. GelatoHype's contracts and the DEXs they use may have bugs, and they have not been audited yet. Locked liquidity prevents a pool rug pull, not every failure.
  • Keeper delays. If the keeper is down, your request waits in the queue. You can always cancel after 15 minutes for a full refund.
  • Off-chain metadata. Images, descriptions and links are stored off-chain. The name, ticker and supply live on-chain and never change.
  • USD figures are estimates. USD prices use the current HYPE price, even for past candles.

FAQ

Quick answers

Can the creator dump on buyers?

Only with tokens they bought, at the same pool price as everyone else. There is no free allocation: the full supply starts in the pool.

Can the liquidity ever be pulled?

No. The contracts have no function that removes it.

Is there a tax on transfers?

No. The token is a plain ERC-20, and the only fee is the pool's trading fee.

Why HYPE or USDC?

They are the most liquid assets on HyperEVM. Buyers can still use other tokens through aggregators.

Do I need big blocks enabled?

No. Your request goes in a regular block, and the keeper runs it in a big block for you.
